Once a month our Red Seal Executive Chef, Daniel Obeng, hosts a culinary meeting for our residents. We discuss menu changes, events in our dining room, and our residents have an opportunity to ask questions, make recommendations and learn more about how our dining room and kitchen operate.
Many of the residents at Pearl and Pine have been asking for nutritional information so we brought in Kerri Sherk, Registered Dietitian, to help everyone navigate eating in the senior years, the importance of balanced meals, coloured veggies, and more. Kerri had fun getting to know our Pearl and Pine Family and we hope that the residents left feeling more well informed about our menu, how to get all their nutrients and how much ice cream is too much ice cream!
